The Clay County’s Child Support Driver’s License Motor Vehicle Registration Suspension Program is a Child Support Enforcement offered by the Clay County Clerk of Court. Pursuant to Florida Statutes 61.13016 and 322.058, when a payor is fifteen (15) days delinquent, the Payee may upon written request, initiate the suspension program.
A written request asking for the Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Registration to be suspended due to delinquency. The request must also include the Payor’s name, date of birth, child support case number, and Payor's last know address. A form is available on this website that you can print off, complete and submit to the court for this putpose.
The payee will receice a written “Notice of Intent” to initiate the suspension, and has three options:
If the payor fails to select one of these options within twenty (20) days from the date of the Notice of Intent to Suspend Florida Driver’s License and Motor Vehicle Registration, the Central Government Depository (Clerk’s Child Support office) will forward a request to suspend the Payor’s driver’s license and motor vehicle registration to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. The suspension cannot be reinstated until the full delinquency and fees are paid, or the parents enter into a written agreement for the repayment of the delinquent child support monies.
